In the v6.x version database runs on the SQLite engine, not on flat files. Below you will find database migration instructions to the latest version.

1. Download the convert_ext_v4.x_or_v5.x_to_v6.x.zip » file. After downloading and unpacking the converter, read the instructions in the "read-me.txt" file.
2. Migrator moves data for only one language and only the basic data in the database. There's no possibility to automatically move data for several languages nor data within installed plugins such as comments, polls or newsletter (newsletterLiteExt), etc.
3. Remember to set thumbnail sizes, image localizations, menu types and other relevant configuration variables in the "database/config.php" files in the new version of your Quick.Cms.Ext before migrating the data.

Database structure has not changed much. Differences are small enough, so that conversion is not necessary. All you have to do is:

1. If you're using languages other than English and Polish, add them in the administration panel » by attaching the translation file from the previous version (you'll find it in the database/translations/ directory)
2. Copy all files overwriting the existing ones (except for the subdirectories and the "_fields.php" file) from the database/ directory in the older version to the same directory in the latest version
3. Copy all files and subdirectories from the files/ directory in the older version to the same directory in the newest version
4. Enter the settings page in the administration panel and set options, attach pages to specific functions, set login and password. Some of the settings options (like menu types, thumbnail sizes) are possible to set only by editing the database/config/general.php file. Documentation » will come in handy.

1. Download file converter_ext_v3.x-v4.x.zip from that page and unpack
2. Copy file converter.php to the directory that contains the latest script version.
3. If the script can be run from for example: www.example.com then converter will be available from: www.example.com/converter.php
4. Script will guide you through the steps of data conversion
5. After conversion, copy files/ directory from older version to the same directory in latest version
6. Enter the settings page in the administration panel and set options, attach pages to specific functions, set login and password.
