One of the reasons i chose quick.cart is that it's a lot more SEO friendly than many other solutions I've seen. You guys have done a good job on that.
But hereby 2 tips that would be nice for some future release:
1. The < h1 > tag is set around the logo (usually an image so unreadable for search-engines.
I suggest to put the < h1> tag around the product name. see here what I mean: http://img521.imageshack.us/my.php?image=h1tagmz3.jpg
2. Right now the product pages and the "pages" pages include a product or a page id. http://www.shopname.com/6,tents.html http://www.shopname.com/tents.htmll would be nicer.
I would recommend NOT having < h1 > around your product name but rather around your header logo or title - you can use css to hide the h1 in the header. Surely the sites title is the most important part of your site....
Use h2 instead for product and page titles
Agree the product id does detract from good SEO but I think (have not tried it) that is what you get when you buy the commercial versions
I would still reccomend having the important <h1> tag around the important topic of your page which is usually the product name. Ofcource your title (i think you mean the slogan under the logo) is important as well, but the slogan never changes on the different pages. This means that you might score higher in google on the words in your slogan, but usually people prefer being findable on their products.
The id in the url also appears in the paid versions.
I think that if the people of opensolution fix this in a future release, our websites will even be better SEO-proof than they are already.
