Editing top menu

I want to remove the blue menu and the search box and replace with button images and also have them to the right of the logo not below. I know i need to edit page.tpl to do this but no matter how i edit it the links come below the logo not to the right. Any suggestions wil be appreciated.

The *.css files are your friends :)

Have a look, and you will see, how it works!

Most is css-driven ... great job and easy to change ;)

Carletti- how did you fix it?

I want to have a background image instead of the top menu links/search button.

now its:
Products Basket Quickcart Contact Search button
with a green and orange background.

Instead of that background, i wanna have a background image, or just an image.

Anybody know how?

Tested that Gifts and Wicks site on a Mac using 10.4.8 and the Qestions image to the right remains (overlapping) badly the the basket summary - just thought I'd give you a heads up.... also how did you do that trick on the top menu? If you read above, evryone dances around but no-one explains how - and I dont mean for someone to tell me its css driven - I already know that!

What you did looks cool and I'd like to duplicate the methos on my cart.... can you explain a little better/
