listed products of several categories, listed on one page

Hi all!
Nice, neat & simple, package! Thanks. But I want to customize!

What I'd like:
A page (gallery-like), on which ('thumbnails' of) the products of several DIFFERENT CATEGORIES are listed at the same time (in different table columns).

I guess that editting template-files won't do it ;)
Would you sugges writing a plugin for that, or do I have to rewrite scripts in the core?

Can you help me any forther on how to proceed?

So is what you want like the randomProduct plugin but with (say) a parameterised number of random products instead of just one?

And another guestion. Is there a easy way to add another language to the shop. the aim is to make same products available @ different languages.

Seems to me like you want the productsInRow plugin, with a few modifications to the tpl file that comes with it. I haven't checked but I doubt whether it works yet with QCv1.0, if thats what you're running.

jep. i'm running v1.0 and it doesn't work :(
maybe i'm doing something wrong... will keep trying
