Adding Payment Gateway

I'm all but complete with my shopping cart. I'm very new to this and I'm simply trying integrate my client's payment gateway to this shopping cart. He has an account with Authorize.net - my question is - in which template file would I need to change to make it link to his gateway and what script do I use?

Any help is very appreciated - thank you in advance

Maybe check the other payment gateway scripts here on the forum?
Like Paypal and Nochex...... most of the time they are the same to integrate.

Authorize.net sent me a "sample code" I'm just not sure what and where to put it.

Depends whether the Authorize.net code is a simple form or something more complicated.
