How to replace mail() with PHPMailer

Hello. I noticed that mail() function Works slower and a lot of emails go to spam folders. PHPMailer is much better and professional function. I have all the files (vendor) of this function, but I'm not sure how can I replace the mail() function to the new one. Any technical tips would help.
